Description
Achiote El Yucateco, is precisely made with annatto seeds of excellent quality, used to give color, and of course as an excellent seasoning, grown in the humid tropical weather of the Yucatan Peninsula in the southeast of Mexico. It is traditionally used as seasoning in the famous Yucatecan and Central American dishes, mainly those influenced by the MAYAN CULTURE.

The Best!

I used this Achiote liquid as a marinade for a boneless pork roast, put it in a pressure cooker with a half bottle. When it was almost done, I drained the fat and other liquid from roast and reserved it for making a "gravy". I placed the pork back in the cooker with more Achiote liquid and let it finish cooking. The best "pulled pork" that I have ever made!
