EL YUCATECO SALSAS Y CONDIMENTOS was created over 40 years ago in 1968 by Mr. Priamo Jose Gamboa Ojeda in Yucatan, Mexico. It started as a small family business devoted to the production of homemade habanero pepper sauces to be sold at local markets. The sauce became very popular between locals that what started as a small family business blossomed into a world-renowned industry; pioneering in producing and exporting fiery habanero sauces and a variety of traditional Mexican condiments to the U.S., Europe, Asia and Oceania.

Today El Yucateco has a modern facility as well as having Habanero and Annato fields, which are their main raw materials, so they can provide their costumers with the highest quality products, made with the best ingredients to guarantee customer satisfaction.

In 1999, EL Yucateco was honored with a 1st Place in taste and presentation to their sauce KutBil-Ik by the international magazine industry. El Yucateco is known by producing different varieties of hot sauce and a unique green sauce that is hotter than their red sauce. Their sauces include: Red Habanero Hot Sauce, Kutbil-Ik sauce, Green Habanero Hot Sauce, Caribbean Habanero, Jalape?a and Chipotle sauce as well as condiments like achiote for dishes like cochinita pibil which originates from Yucatan, Chilmole Paste, Bisteck Paste. Other products include concentrates for Jamaica, Tamarindo and Horchata drinks as well as 100% Pure Bee Honey and pickled habaneros.
