As a Native American born in Mexico, Lupita Aguilera the founder, has experienced firsthand the devastating impact of diabetes within her own family. She lost her grandmother to this disease, witnessed her mother endure its severe consequences—including the loss of a limb and heart complications—and faced her own diagnosis of prediabetes. She refuses to let this cycle continue with her.

In our community, diabetes is not just prevalent; it poses a grave threat. Latinos and Native Americans are affected at twice the rate of other groups, making this more than a statistic—it’s a health crisis jeopardizing our families, culture, and future.

Determined to support her mother and break this cycle in her own life, She embraced a ketogenic lifestyle. Yet, I quickly realized the lack of healthy, culturally inspired foods that aligned with this way of eating.
