Directions
Directions Step 1: Marinate the Carne Asada
In a large bowl, combine the carne asada, Mexican lime juice, garlic powder, and thinly sliced white onion. Mix well, ensuring the meat is evenly coated with the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or overnight for more flavor).
Step 2: Prepare the Chiles
Preheat your oven or grill to medium-high heat. Sprinkle the Gueritos chiles with vinegar and place them on a baking sheet or grill. Bake or grill until the chiles are soft and slightly browned, turning occasionally. Set aside.
Step 3: Cook the Carne Asada
Heat a large skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated carne asada slices until they are well-browned and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove from heat and let the meat rest for a few minutes before slicing it into thin strips.
Step 4: Prepare the Avocado Crema
In a blender, combine the avocados, milk, and sour cream. Blend until smooth and creamy. Set aside.
Step 5: Warm the Tortillas
Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Warm the corn or flour tortillas on each side until they are soft and pliable.
Step 6: Assemble the Tacos
Place a few strips of the cooked carne asada on each warm tortilla. Top with grated Chihuahua or Oaxaca Cheese, diced white onion, fresh cilantro, shredded cabbage, sliced radishes, and a spoonful of Herdez Salsa Casera or Herdez Salsa Verde. Add a dollop of the avocado crema and garnish with the grilled Gueritos chiles.
Step 7: Serve and Enjoy
Serve your carne asada tacos with extra Herdez Salsa Casera or Herdez Salsa Verde on the side for added flavor. Enjoy with family and friends!
These carne asada tacos are packed with flavor and perfect for any occasion. Enjoy your meal!
