Packs a punch

This new (to my grocer) product from Herdez packs some serious heat compared to other salsas labeled Medium Heat. Lime forward, with cilantro, jalape?o and onion next, this creamy blend will no doubt add a kick to deviled eggs, potato salad and a lot of Mexican dishes in my household. It is very spicy though, so a little goes a long way, meaning it alone won't do in many dishes as the binder or topping due to the amount of heat. I'd like to have the option for a little less. Maybe they'll make a mild version.

I tried this once and now it is a staple in my house. Great for eggs, fish, casseroles, dips, or for whatever inspires you to put a little on a dish. It has kick and apparently medium is the only heat available. Lovely accents of both cilantro and lime in a non-tomato salsa.

- Good price.
- Versatile rich flavor
- Has a bit of kick, but just about right. A bit of yogurt or hummus can calm the heat down.
Cons
- Wish there was an option to purchase in a mild heat.

A nice sauce, but if you are spice sensitive, it’s has some heat. Goes great with shrimp or fish tacos!
