It's hard to understand how such a delicious line of products was discontinued! I used to buy this 6-10 jars at a time because it was so good on everything! Please either bring this back or else release a recipe for it.

Can't find Herdez Cooking Sauce Pasilla Chile

I thought I was the only one who had trouble finding this. I love this sauce. I put a chuck roast in a 9 x 13 baking pan and put the sauce over. I add about 1/4 jar of water, and one sweet onion quartered. Cover with foil and bake at 350 F for 3 1/2 hours. Take out and easily shred with two forks. On a corn tortilla we put Mexican rice, the meat, and top with cilantro, onion and avocado. Absolutely delicious.

We currently live is San Antonio, Texas and absolutely LOVE this sauce! As others have commented, we can't always find it so we wish Herdez could produce more of this wonderful cooking sauce.
We are moving to Guanajuato Mexico in a couple of months, so we hope we will be able to find this product in the stores there - great cooking sauce!!!

I used this sauce with country style ribs in my instant pot. It was delicious! I am so glad I picked it up in the grocery store. My husband will only eat Herdez salsa so when I picked up the salsa, I saw this cooking sauce.
Pros
- I am gluten free due to an allergy and eating out is dangerous at best. One of my favorite places has always been Chipotle, but the last two times I've been there I reacted so it's no more for me. I tried this sauce and my husband and I were just blown away. This is a once a week dinner with all the fixins (rice, cheese, black beans, and salsa). Hubby just kept saying...this is good stuff...this is good stuff. My reactions is YUM!!!!

We are fans of Chile Colorado, but I could never find a sauce that comes even close to what we have at our favorite Mexican restaurant. I love slow cooking beef chunks in this sauce as it is so delicious. Thank you for this wonderful sauce.

I bought this sauce just to try it. I get home late and making a homemade salsa is not always an option. I looked at the ingredients and I recognized all the ingredients. They're are not too salty or have a fake flavor to them, I just wish they kept it in stock.
