Ingredients
1-3.5 oz. Achiote Del Mayab brick3/4 cup Lemon juice3/4 cup Orange juice3/4 cup water3 tbsp. Chopped cilantro3 tbsp. Chili powder1 med Chopped Onion5 Seedless jalapenos2 tbsp. Olive Oil2 tbsp. Butter2 tbsp. Vinegar
Directions
Dissolve Achiote del Mayab in lemon juice, orange juice, and water. Put mixture in pan and heat for 15 minutes. Blend the onion and jalapeno peppers then add to mixture. Add olive oil, butter, and vinegar and stir. Add cilantro and chili powder and serve over tacos, burritos, or any dish. Enjoy this Recado recipe!!

Fantastic! Tangy! Spicy!

This is really good! I used Achiote Molido instead of the brick. Achiote Molido is ground achiote in a package. I made half the recipe because I had purchased only 3oz of Achiote Molido....nest time I will use this full recipe. This will be nice to have around. Thanks for sharing!

Make sure your friends like hot/spicy sauce

It was quite tasty. I used less cayenne and jalapeno than was recommended and it was still on the hot side. I'm tolerant of very spicy peppers including ghost peppers...this one was still on the warm side with half the "heat-ful" ingredients. We used it to smother shrimp and Mexican rice.
